Mail Server Tutorials
Being able to run your own email server is an important part of the functioning of the internet as a means of peer communication. It isn't easy, however. During several weeks in 2018, I worked through how to set up a postfix/dovecot/opendkim server on many of my websites and servers. There are advantages to doing this: I can store as much email as I want on my IMAP server, without having to juggle or archive it. My email is as private as my server is. I can spawn throwaway email addresses when registering for things I don't want junk mail for. I can have domain names associated with my site names like amssolarempire.com.
